Palm Springs North is a CDP (census-designated place) Miami-Dade County. The CDP is part of the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Miami Beach Metropolitan Area and is located on the South Atlantic Coast near the tip of the Florida Peninsula. It is a coastal community and nearby gorgeous beaches and countless waterfront activities with an active entertainment and nightlife scene. It culturally and ethnically diverse with people of all ages and walks of life. Spanish is the primary language with English running a close second. There is no public transportation in the CDP and much of its workforce is employed in surrounding communities. In 2000, the population was 5,460 and the population density was 6,825 people per square mile. In the same year the median household income was $62,161, the median family income was $64,428 and the per capita income was $20,383. In 2010, the population was 5,253 and in 2014 it was 5,670. The current median home price is $254,300 and the household size is 3.57 people.
The CDP is a cultural mix that is warm and welcoming for all. Public education is provided by the Miami-Dade Public School System. Public school students, of Palm Springs North, attend classes at Palm Springs North Elementary, Lawton Chiles Middle School, American Senior High and Barbara Goleman Senior High.
